The 2004 Olympiad was originally planned to take place at
Cala Galdana on
Menorca, but in October 2003, a change of venue to
Calviá on
Mallorca was announced. This change was apparently motivated by funding
difficulties. The 2006 Olympiad is due to be held in
Turin in
Italy.
